QUIÉNES WE ARE
The Brazilian Network of Journalists and Science Communicators (RedeComCiência) is a non-partisan and non-profit association that brings together professionals interested in discussing and improving the quality of journalism and science communication in Brazil.
WHAT WE HAVE
We organize events, produce content and support the work of journalists, communication advisors and scientists interested in communicating science-related topics. At the same time, we encourage the exchange of information, ideas and opportunities between our members.
WHY WE HAVE
Covering the science area and its ramifications is a daily challenge. Much more than just translating a complex knowledge into an accessible language, the work of communicating science involves also understanding how each novelty, discovery
the advance impacts on the planet, the country, the society and the human being. In an increasingly complex world, science journalists play a key role in differentiating relevant information from interests, economics and personalities.

"The journalist is not more of an intermediary, someone who only transmits information as a card or group of scientific people, as a mediator who reflects independently on the information and its consequences."
